Bone scintigraphy (BS) is one of the most common detection tools that used to find certain abnormalities in bone. It is used in the diagnosis of several conditions relating to bones such as bone cancer, bone metastasis and bone inflammation. It has high sensitivity and wide availability. However, its sensitivity and specificity is not enough for the detection of lytic lesions which are related to osteoblastic reaction. A sensitivity and specificity are increased to be 93% when a single-photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) scan technique is added.
