The bone marrow is a sponge like tissue that is inside certain bones in the body. The hip and the thigh are two examples of bones with a bone marrow. After doing research I see the importance of a bone marrow. They are something that is definitely needed for you to stay healthy and even alive. About 200 billion red blood cells are my daily and also white blood cells and platelets. As you may know a red and also white blood cell is a very important part of the body. A person depends on their cells for every move they make in life. So when a person can no longer depend on their bone marrow to create those cells they might need a bone marrow transplant. This procedure can save many lives. People that have sickle cell anemia, leukemia, lymphoma
