BoldFlash has multiple departments including the consumer division, development, manufacturing and marketing who would need to know the product description and impact in order to accomplish their job. Within the mobile department the manufacturing department is responsible for making sure the product is released to the public in a timely manner. They will need to work closely with the development team to make sure they can build, test, and release the product within the allocated budget. These individuals need to be organized, and meticulous with the components as a flaw can lead to inoperative product. The Marketing team is responsible for understanding the customer’s needs and conveying them to the development team. Additionally, they will need to filter the customer’s request to certain points that the team can accomplish within the product timeline. The sales team is responsible for determining if the product can be accomplished within the price the customers can afford. The manager of each department is responsible for defining the expectations and goals expected from the individuals. By setting the expectations early it will reduce confusion and provide the standards among the team members. For example; Melzer should set the expectation for his team to provide quality components along with an easy to follow documentation. The key members should have an open-door policy to address concerns and issues and allow the team members to collaborate in case of difficulties. Additionally, the manager can implement a survey or suggestion box to collect the team’s feedback. The team should be confident and serious when sharing new content and schedule changes this will ensure all members will be attentive through the presentation. If the team is uncertain about the content the members are more likely to disregard the content. The team should also use simple terms that can easily be understood as ambiguous words can cause misunderstandings and waste the team’s time having to explain the terms. When the team uses an acronym for the first time they should write the text along with the acronym enclosed in parentheses. The manager should use the appropriate tone of voice to communicate the message to the team and use the appropriate body language when listening. This includes being attentive, sitting straight, and using eye contact
