Bob Marley was born in February 6,1945 in St.Ann,Jamaica. His birthname was Nesta Robert Marley. Due to a mistake on his passport, he went by the name Bob. Bob Marley didn't have a normal childhood as he barely knew his father. He was the son of Cadella, an 18 year old single mother. He spent most of his time moving to different places with his mother. In 1957 Bob and his mother moved to Kingston Jamaica, as a result he was exposed to poverty and violence taking place in Jamaica at the time. which later influenced his music career, as the main focus of Bob Marley's music was to express Peace and Love. Bob Marley had dreams of becoming a solo artist. Before becoming a solo artist, He part of a couple of bands.Those experiences helped him move …show more content…
Marley was eager to open up a music store so he could make money. However, his lack of experience and low profit forced him to go out of business. Marley went on to many tours, for many years. He became an international symbol of peace.His popularity lead to an assassination attempt on him that fortunately went unsuccessful.
In 1977, Marley was diagnosed with malignant melanoma after injuring his big toe playing soccer .The doctors strongly recommended an amputation but he declined for religious reasons. Later, In 1980 Marley was diagnosed with brain cancer which eventually spread to his stomach and lungs. He died on May 11th, 1980 in Miami. To this day, his music continues to influence the world . Astor Pantaleón Piazzolla was born on March 11, 1921 in Mar del Plata, Argentina. He was the only child of a Italian immigrant parents, Vicente Piazzolla and Assunta Manetti.I n 1925 Piazzolla moved with his family to Greenwich Village in New York City. During those days, Greenwich Village was a violent neighbourhood inhabited by gangsters and hard-working immigrants.His parents worked long hours and Piazzolla soon learned to take care of himself on the streets.
