Kendell Beckwith, O.J. Howard, Justin Evans, and Chris Godwin are the Buccaneers rookies and after playing in only one game they have not really had much of a chance to show case their abilities. However, Kendell Beckwith and O.J. Howard played fairly well last week. Beckwith saw his first regular season action vs the Bears, he wasn't outstanding, but he did show off what he is capable in the time he was on the field. Beckwith played in the entire game as middle linebacker, strong side linebacker and proved he can play both positions more than efficiently.…

All Married couples hit rough patches in their relationships and it is about whether or not they power through those rough patches that determines the longevity of those relationships. If the relationship crumbles after just one fight or one argument then it’s questionably whether this relationship was real from the very start. In the story Under the Radar written by Richard Ford a married couple hit a rough patch. This rough patch not only destroys their relationship but leads to their inevitable deaths. In my interpretation of this story I came to the conclusion that both people in the relationship…
Spoken Task Will: Morning/afternoon Hayden, what’s been happening mate? Hayden: Ahh not much, what’s new?…
Rat Kiley was the medic, and saved many of the others’ lives including Tim O’Brien. For example, when Tim O’Brien was shot and lying on the ground, he said how Rat Kiley, “Every so often, maybe four times altogether, he trotted back to check me out. Which took courage” (189). Rat starts to go a little unstable, and what once was a calm and good-humored medic was now a gory-minded man. For instance, he pictured things like, “how much the guy’s head weighed, like how heavy it was, and what it would feel like to pick up the head and carry it over to a chopper and dump it in.”…
People can change in ways that can make them seem like a completely different person when they face a significant amount of conflict. Conflict will change a person without them even realizing it. Brian changed in significant ways that only few people can experience. In the novel, Hatchet Brian was faced with many different kinds of conflict that he had to overcome for his survival. During Brian’s experience in the Canadian wilderness, he transformed from a young boy into a young man.…
Rat Kiley was a nice guy, since he was the medic, he would need to take care of everyone, and make sure they felt better, at least good enough to go back and fight in the war, he carried everything that a normal medic would. We can see the transition that Rat Kiley goes through, at the beginning of the story he seems like a funny, and a cool guy, “Rat Kiley carried comic books.” (Page 2, O’Brien) unphased by the struggles of fighting in the war, and being away from friends and family. However, in “Sweetheart of the Song Tra Bong,” we can see that Kiley is just a representation of Tim O’Brien himself, “Among men the men in the Alpha Company, Rat had a reputation for exaggeration and overstatement, a compulsion to rev up the facts..” (Page 85, O’Brien)…
Woman are considered to be more of a supportive role when it is the man who is the manager and considered ungrateful if the roles were reversed (Kirchmeyer, 1998). However, even with this, Priestly still cares about her daughters, meaning not all of her feminine characteristics have vanished, as she is still someone who is nurturing. Furthermore, she is also worried about what people say concerning her ability as a mother. Her twins are very important to her, yet as seen in the film, she is not always capable of coming to their events. In these situations, she does not only feel like a bad mother but other people also whisper about her inability to be a proper mother.…
Bob Kalp contains all of the qualities of a man influential in my life. Bob Kalp participated in almost everything possible. He instructed beginning drivers, taught chemistry, coached basketball, and currently coaches softball. At 72 years old, he still resembles a young man. His white hair and skinny body do not fit the image of a softball coach.…
There is a sickness destroying lives on every surface of the world, which can be eradicated with out spending a single dollar or loosing a single life to any medical trial. That disease is the vitriolic way in which the world treats its citizens. The world has an innate way of tearing down others for the sake of succeeding but success is possible with out the destruction of the individual. The author Wes Moore had a healthy self-image reinforced through strong influential characters in his life and stable relationships. The other Wes Moore however was not as fortunate as the man whose namesake he shares; he was conditioned with a negative image strengthened by the social situations he engaged in.…

Rat Kiley carried comic books, which kept him entertained during the war. Ted Lavender comforted himself with an orphan puppy, but also drugs. Lavender’s pain killers only attempted to comfort his experience in Vietnam. Seeing innocent people and friends die in the war changed every soldier’s life, but something needed to comfort them. Comfort is a way people can become brave as it encourages survival.…
The Two Wes Moore’s and Their Different Choices President Mark Keenums statement about the other Wes Moore was completely true when he said “That’s what [The Other Wes Moore] is all about. Two people with virtually identical lives, the only difference between them being the choices they made. Their choices made all the difference” (Keenum). The Other Wes Moore is a novel about two people that grew up in the same neighborhood, however, had completely different outcomes. The Author, Moore had the better outcome in the story and the other Wes Moore did not turn out so well.…
Chris McCandless’ actions can be seen as rebellious at first, but as time goes on, it is clear that there is hostility between his parents and himself that he does not want to face or try to fix. In a dysfunctional family, there are two extremes when it comes to the outcome of the children: the rebel or the conformist. Although the older child is typically the conformist and the younger child is the rebel, the McCandless family is a little different because both children are the rebels. Krakauer says, “Also like Chris, she clashed fiercely with Walt and Billie as an adolescent… [but] Carine made peace with her parents shortly after Chris disappeared” (129).…
