Board relations • Leah is heavily involved in the presentation of materials, updates, and all events are coordinated effectively with the board.
• Leah effectively communicates with the board both during official meetings as well as in between with bi-monthly board updates and ad hoc support as needed.

Additionally, using the board and its committees to present negative issues of the organization in addition to its successes. In the case of the Red House Report, the board would have preferred a deeper discussion on the criticism to determine their merit. Leah has board members with strong risk management and operational planning skills. Use reports like this to get them more involved.
Community Relations • Leah is a recognizable face in the community. She serves as a very strong ambassador for the organization through her involvement in activities including serving as a board member for the Chamber of Commerce. • Leah’s effective leadership brought TLL to where it is today as a $7M company partnering with school districts across many counties. Her vision, dedication and tenacity set the tone for all future management staff.
• Leah’s leadership style towards the staff accommodates time-off for doctors’ appointments etc. with a flexible work schedule. Although flexible, the workload at times never ceases. Some of the staff report that the flexibility is wonderful, but the workload continues.
• Leah was challenged this past year with a recent promotion to the leadership staff that became problematic for the organization. Leah stuggled to regain control of the situation at times and some communications became visible to other staff, such as the cancelling of monthly management team meetings.

• Leah should continue to demonstrate her effective leadership of the organization, particularly her vision for the organization.
• The board recommends that Leah keep to monthly management team meetings, be open to all input from the staff, and have a good grasp of the work load and effectiveness of her management
