2. Mission Analysis
The primary goal of BPP is easily understandable by reading at their mission statement, and the goals are focusing on producing new plays and it gives both writers and performers opportunities to show their talents. At the …show more content…
• There are many theatre major students at Bloomington; thus, they have great actors and actress resources.
• They have their own performing venue, so they do not need to rent other venues.
• They have developed sponsorship with multiple organizations at Bloomington, such as Ivy Tech.
➢ Weaknesses:
• As I mentioned before, they only focus on new plays, which is a great advantage, but it may also be a disadvantage since some audience may prefer classic theatrical performances; therefore, BPP cannot attract this part of audience.
• Their own facility only contains 86 seats, and it is a little bit small for theatre venue.
• Based on their recent Form 990, their expenses exceed their revenue, which indicates that they may have some financial problems.
➢ Opportunities:
• Great resources from B.E.A.D. since there are so many different types of arts organizations at Bloomington; there are many opportunities for collaborations.
• Since they only produce new plays, there is an opportunity that some original plays can get attentions from bigger theatre companies, and that can help BPP to build their reputation and will be known by more
