This way students will be better prepared for what college will be like (Cavazos). In college, you do not have a set every day schedule. Classes are different, for the most part, every day and having the opportunity for this in high school would make for a better transition into college. If students are having a hard time in school, this will allow them the opportunity to get extra help (Cavazos). Students sometimes don’t do well in classes due to lack of time given to them to ask teachers questions. This way they will start to get that opportunity. By only having four classes to teach each semester it makes it easier for teachers to teach the students everything they are supposed to be taught each year (Smith). Due to the lack of time given to teachers to teach their students, they sometimes fail to reach every lesson needed before their students graduate. Teachers are being trained to be able to better teach their students with the time given so that no time is wasted (Cavazos). This is extremely important because with ninety minute class periods, teachers allow their students to complete the assignments correctly and ask more questions than they would have been allowed
