The fur industry has been part of American society even before there was a United States of America. The fur trade likely started when Hudson’s Bay Company was incorporated in 1670 (Dyhouse) and has continued to this day. While fur fashion trends have changed over the years, ranging from felted beaver hats in the mid-19th century, to hats trimmed with whole birds and stuffed kitten heads in the early 20th century, to today’s mink coats, one thing has remained the same; that every piece of fur clothing has come from an animal that was killed for it (Dyhouse). Because of concerns about causing animals to become extinct, furbearing animals have been raised on farms since just after the Civil War (Dyhouse, “Fur Farming in North America”).…

“Guess by Marciano” Envision for a moment a black and white photo of a woman dressed in a fashionable low cut black wrap dress outlined in black silk, a bow of silk tied at the front left side of her waist bringing attention to her bosom without being too forward. With the U.S. having the highest incarceration rates in the world, Americans are slowly inching towards realizing the effects of this and beginning to think about prison reform. Before any solid, concrete change is to occur, we need to be able to look at the different aspects of the criminal justice system which affects every single person in this country. We must be able to look at what leads up to someone being incarcerated (early life, family ties, social position), the legal proceedings and interactions with law enforcement. We need to be able to look at how people are being sentenced, and what “correctional” really means when it comes to using the term “correctional facilities”. We also need to look at why we have such high recidivism…

More knowledge was desired of current medical providers’ thoughts on homeopathic medicine, therefore a survey to ascertain this information was created. The purpose of this paper is to explain the electronic survey purpose, explain the procedure for protecting survey participants, perform statistical analysis using SPSS, provide a breakdown…
