To begin, the Holocaust is an occurrence that can be connected with the treatment of blacks in America. These historical events are shameful and infamous in two different parts of the world. Each of these incidences contains comparable proceedings, and victimizes against races. First, one similarity is discrimination, which prejudiced against Jews and blacks in communities. For example, in the book, the Nazi Germany Empire did not tolerate Jews present in their kingdom, and often caused the destruction of Jewish citizen’s properties. These separations most likely came because Germans and Americans did not want Jews and blacks to get ahead in society. A well-educated person has the potential to change a civilization, which the overruling dictatorship of Germany did not allow, and the white dominance of America did not desire. Next, slavery presents another connection between the Holocaust and the handling of blacks. Nazis made slaves of Jews through concentration camps to help their war effort. Whites in America used slaves to tend to their plantations. For a start, both had harsh working conditions, and small mistakes were countered with jarring punishments. This shows that production was more important to Nazis and Americans than the proper treatment of human beings. They did not hesitate to threaten their slaves into working as machines. Even with limited resources supplied by high Nazi officials, slave supervisors found ways to horrendously torture Jews. This displays the determination of slave owners to make their authority known.
