Jack Kemp a person in the article, “American Should Great Birthright Citizenship to Children of Illegal Immigrants,” argues that “restrictions on citizenship are not the right way for the United Stated to respond to the problem of illegal immigration. Ending birthright citizenship would violate the United States Constitution and would do little to deter illegal immigration” (par. 1). The children that are born in the United States have the right to stay. In the article, “An Argument to Be Made About Immigrants Babies and Citizenship,” states that “a parent from a poor country can hardly do more for a child than make him or her an American citizen, entitled to all the advantages of the American welfare state” (Will 601). In the United States at least 10 percent of mothers have given birth was an illegal immigrant. Why would citizen want to repeal the fourteenth amendment? What happens to the ten percent of mothers that gives birth in the United States hospital? Does the Fourteenth Amendment really causes so much problems that they have to get rid of it? In my opinion I do not find anything wrong with this amendment. How coldhearted will it be to not take care of people? For every hospital in the United States, they do not care if we are citizen. They will only care about our health or how we going to pay them. If the doctors do not care who they take care of in the hospitals, why should the United States citizens? The doctors still take care of their patients no matter which state, country, or religion you are. The U.S citizens should mind their own lives, rather than getting into other people
