Birthing Center Case Study

RRMC should reconsider opening their birthing center. One method would be to hold a meeting with professional marketing consultants and analysts, hospitalists and local physicians to discuss their previous high birth rate trends and to identify need, target markets and actual potential patients that would utilize the services. This group should also focus on branding and positioning by evaluating services that may already be offered in the area and what services they can provide to set them apart from their competitors. It is possible that they may consider vertically integrating with Ob/Gyn groups and specialists to achieve its common goal.
