In lands inhabited by Hobbits in Middle Earth, an old wizard who goes by the name of Gandalf arrives at the “hobbit-hole” of a prideful old hobbit named Bilbo Baggins. Gandalf invites Bilbo on an adventure; however, Bilbo declines as normal Hobbits do not go on adventures, but Bilbo mistakenly invites Gandalf for tea on the next day. Afterwards, Gandalf arrives with thirteen other adventurous Hobbits, and Bilbo is forced to participate in Gandalf’s adventure in the hunt for Thorin’s (one of the Hobbits) families’ stolen treasure, now in the possession of a marvelous dragon named Smaug.
