Personality traits are predictors of people’s characteristics on how they think, feel and behave. There have been many personality studies where psychologist’s theories contribute to the understanding and conceptualizing human individual differences. They all have a common goal to build a structured model to describe and explain personality. Many trait-orientated psychologists agree with Eysenck’s theory known as the “Big Five Personality Traits”. This Five-Factor model of personality is one of the most widely used systems of traits. This model is known to be the most practical and applicable in personality psychology. He felt these three dimensions were the most useful in describing personality functioning. Extraverts are individuals who have an outgoing and sociable approach to life. Whereas introverts are shy and have a retiring approach to life. Stability-neuroticism, Eysenck views neurotics as emotionally unstable and overly reactive to stimuli. Psychotics are individuals who are aloof, inhumane, aggressive, and insensitive to the needs of others, but also creatives (Ryckman, 2013). I tend to be a perfectionist, always seeking higher performance. I’m well-organized, punctual and dependable, which are characteristics of a conscientiousness person. I’ve worked at my job for ten years and received perfect attendance 5 years in a row. I never call in sick, unless I’m really sick or I have family obligations or emergencies. These traits have helped me grow in my organization, and proved my good work ethic. They know they can rely on me and rely on my superior work performance. Agreeableness is described to be a person that is sympathetic, trusting, cooperative, modest, and straightforward. I believe to have all of these characteristics. I’m a very loyal person and I treat people with the respect that I expect in return. I love helping people and I am a very compassionate person. I decided to work in a nursing home because I wanted to help people and make people feel good. Even though I don’t physically take care of them, I make them feel good by acknowledging them, by talking and making them laugh or smile. I’m also a team player which also falls in agreeableness
