The Benefits of Bible Quiz As Christian raised children finish elementary school and graduate to middle school and high school, they may find that they would rather spend time with their friends or have free time than reading and studying the Word of God. Having grown up in Sunday School learning Bible stories like Jonah and the Whale and Daniel in the Lion’s Den, many young adults think they know all about the Bible. However, the Bible contains many more stories and ideas not taught in Sunday School that help us as we grow. We cannot get by on basic Bible stories that we have heard over and over again. Teen Bible Quiz provides a competitive, exciting environment for teenagers to learn the Word of God while connecting with both old and new friends from all over the country. Teen Bible Quiz takes place in churches all throughout America. Each year, quizzers learn books of the New Testament and memorize the assigned material. Over the many meets and tournaments, those involved get to compete, not only against other teams, but also against fellow teammates. During each round, teams sit at a table with a buzzer set, which they use to buzz in and answer questions. Question Writers create questions that have quizzers performing a variety of skills such as quoting verses, answering specific questions about the material, and listing names and places. Quizzers may even question the correctness of both their answers and the answers of the other team during contesting, where they state the reason for their contest based on the Scripture and Bible Quiz Rulebook. After completing many regular monthly meets, the best teams in each region may gain a coveted spot at Bible Quiz Nationals.
