It is important to provide a suggestion of the change in BFHI to the supervisor. The supervisor may or may not approve the suggestion. If they do not approve, ask what can be done for it to be improved. A correction can be made and a new draft can be compiled with modifications. As a result, the second draft can be submitted to the supervisor or a head nurse in the Labor and Delivery, who is responsible for the BFHI. Once the supervisor approves, he or she can assign a person in charge, who can carry out the plan.
The person in charge can provide workshops to staff in the health care environment. In the workshops, BFHI criteria used to evaluate hospitals would be explained. The hospital staff are already aware about what criteria is required

The staff would be evaluating if all criteria is met by the employees. Each employee will receive a grade on how well they did, as well as provide suggestions what can be done to improve. The mock interview must be done at least three times to ensure that all staff have improved. The first interview is used to test the knowledge. In the second interview, the staff would be evaluated how much they have improved. Finally, during the third interview, the staff must perform all duties correctly and efficiently. If the staff have failed during the third interview, then more mock interviews are required, and if the staff had done a great job after the second time, then no further mock interviews are required. All cultures must be treated equally without discrimination and neglect. This can be done using a compiled checklist with the education that must be provided to all patients. The list must be as complete as possible. The first process is to immediate put the baby skin-to-skin. This procedure must be done for all mothers regardless if they want to breastfeed or not. The only exception, if the newborn is born with a medical condition, and/or if the mother has medical condition.
