The R&B producer Arne Frager Brought the girls to his Northern California studio and placed them in the largest talent show at the time, “Star Search”. However they lost and beyonce said that they had made a poor song choice. Beyonce’s dad quit his job in 1995 to manage the group. They auditioned for a lot of different record labels and were finally signed to Elektra Records, they then moved to Atlanta Records and were finally cut by the company. On October 5th 1995 the group signed with Dwayne Wiggin’s Grass Roots entertainment. Girls Tyme started recording their debut album in 1996 with Sony Music, and finally the group got a contract with Columbia
