How to Bet on Boxing in the UK Boxing is an immensely popular sport because it speaks to the instinctive nature of man. There is nothing like watching two ripped men get into to the ring and go at it until one is out for the count. However, aside from the brute force of the sport, there is a great art to it as well. Like the game of chess, players have to understand how to gracefully move and ensure the hit goes one way. It’s this mix of masculinity and grace that draws so many to the sport and has made it hot for betting. Before you chose your sports bookie there are a few things that you should know. Once upon a time ago betting on boxing was very simple, as there were only 2 types of bets, mainly who would win and in how many rounds. Parlays – Are perhaps the most exotic form of betting, because you bet on multiple fighters to win or lose in order to win money. There are two variations in betting parlays, the point spread, and money line. If you are going with the point spread, and betting on 4 players you would be looking at a 10-1. Meaning you win $10 for every dollar you wager, but only if all four teams win. If even one loses, you lose.
Over/unders – On this type of wager, one bets on the number of rounds to be played. Usually, games last between 10-12 round. If the bookie predicts that the game will last 8 rounds, then 1-7 is considered under, while 8 and up are over. Pretty simple.
Proposition – This is also known as prop-betting and can actually be a lot of fun. Bettors wager on other game factors like time per round, number of hits and more. There is no defined rules for this and options are
