An allegory is a story or poem that has moral values hidden in context. The epic poem Beowulf is an example of an allegory because you can find Christian and Pagan culture and history in different ways. In Beowulf, there are a few significant battles that represent heroism and religion at the same time. If I were to compare Beowulf to anyone, it’d be Hercules. They both heroic warriors that show no sign of cowardness.
