Hope you are fine. I wanted to let you know that I got a job offer from Merck yesterday. It is with extreme difficulty I am letting you know that I decided to join Merck, and won’t be joining the RA position at the Cornell University. I am aware that I will miss a very friendly group at Ithaca, but because of the long term career potential I am deciding to join Merck. I hope you will understand.
