In the U.S it is undeniable that there are many illegal families that have came for better work or a better way of life. The children in these families grow up in the U.S so why should they not be able to become citizens. What if the children of these people could in some way achieve citizenship by finishing college or joining the U.S military? While many feel that allowing immigrant children citizenship would cause more competition and separate families, these people however are incorrect; further this could encourage assimilation, more people would go to college, save money from deportation, help create better jobs,more people would join the military. This would help the U.S with gaining recruits for the military. This could also help eliminating the use of a draft with so many recruits joining in. The branches they could join include the Air Force, Navy, Marines, or Army. With many more applicants choosing to join the U.S military would grow and be given the chance to improve. They could give a certain amount of years of their life in exchange for citizenship. Being in the military also has some perks as to them helping with college if when they leave they decide to continue studying. They could depending on which branch of the military they choose travel the world to different bases. Once in the military they get the opportunity to get promoted and from there depending on how they do receive a well paying job. When they leave the military they could apply for many jobs as police officer, firemen, or security with the experience of the military on their record. If they choose not to they could always go to school and study something different and be able to get a different type of job. If they would however, like to continue studying to enhance their career or study a different type of law the military could also help them that.
