Hunter comparison was about power and relationships while Sinek was about trust. Sinek considers that we lack trust in the business aspect of health care because we tend to blame one another, but in the military they work as a unit starting in boot camp you learn to help one another and build trust. Soldier are more likely to be vulnerable and take risk, yet in the health care we are scared to take risk or be self-vulnerable. For example a leader should put trust in our co-workers that they are doing everything right, so when an accident happens the administration or owner can fight for us or take little risk, so that way other people can take risks for us. A leader should know the clear destination he or she wants the company to go and accept that they will be some bumps in the road because everything in life is not easy. We should set long term goals, yet create short term goals that will help us reach that clear destination. Can I be that great leader that someone else would be willing to follow me? To give a better understanding Law of Magnetism means we attract who we are, not who we want. I must have confidents in myself and understand what the clear destination is going to be if we were to partner in a business venture. I don’t need them to follow me because I said so, I need to be able to lead by example and inspire them to want to be leaders as well. Second question, would I be willing to add value to my business partners and other human being that may invest in my organization one day. Listening and communication is key because if you don’t value other people no one is going to want to value your thoughts or listen to what you have to say. Third, will I be willing to continue my studies in leadership, because if you think about every doctor after a certain amount of years has to take a test to make sure they are still qualified to be a doctor. So, I too in order to grow in life I must keep educating myself by going to seminars and reading book on leadership. The best part about becoming a business partner is that one of them has already read books and is inspired by someone else, so I know that I can value, trust her judgement when it comes to making business decision.
