If so, what treatment is appropriate, as well as if the treatment is working for the target behavior. Also, measuring behaviors can be determined by three fundamental properties comprise of repeatability, temporal extent, and temporal locus. (Cooper, et al., 2014). Which are at least two independent observers reporting the same observed values in the wake of measuring similar events (Cooper, et al., 2014). I observed the behavior of Michelle, flicking her thumb and forefinger time and time again until the bus arrived. She did this for two out of the three days for about 10 to 20 minutes. This information was interesting because before this exercise gave me the opportunity to realize that these

This is why the level to which independent observers report the same values for the same events is critical for the study. The advantages of the interobserver reliability are to establish competence of the new observers, note the observer drift, argue about the clarity of definitions and system, and expand believability of data. To make the study most valuable, the observer must receive training, utilize the same observation code and measurement system, watch and assess the same participants and events, and contemplate and record independently of one…

The particular discrete behavior I chose to observe is when my co-worker tucks her hair behind her ear for my observation. I think the value of this behavioral observation was that it was something i never did before and it was a fun experience. An area I think my team and I should revise is how we approached the explore handout. After viewing some of the students responses in the observation box where they were supposed to write or draw what they saw with the light flap opened and shut, It seemed as if some of the students were confused on exactly what they where supposed to be doing. This part of the lesson can be found at 15 minutes into the video. What I would revise to be done to fix this part of the lesson is that we have examples made up prior to the lesson to show students examples of written observations and drawn observations of what the students should be noticing during the observations. We would show students this on the projector before they begin their observations.…

The observation took place on March 27th, 2016 in my home located in Montville, NJ. After Easter lunch I observed, for thirty minutes, the “cleanup period”—the period where the table is cleaned, food is put away, and dishes, utensils, and glasses are washed. I observed twenty individuals. Eleven participants were male and nine participants were female.…

While, there is no such thing as two infants developing in exactly the same way, there are milestones that young children should reach by certain ages in order to determine growth.
