It contains four movements:
The first movement starts with hard dramatic strings, leading into a plethora of pleasant melodies and lovely consonance. An emotional rollercoaster would best describe this movement as the piece transitions from soft calming sounds from the horns and woodwinds to hard-pressed portions that are dominated by the string group. This movement ends with a striking build-up of woodwind melodies and soft strings into a climatic burst of energy from the strings and percussions.
The second movement is much like the first in terms of its introduction. Instruments such as the flute compliment the piece whenever played with the ensemble, and along with the oboe in softer portions of the movement. change from the orchestra playing together to the flutes and violins leaves me with a feeling of euphoria, longing for the next moment it happens again.

The piece alternates between a calm sound from the violins and violas and a brief melody from the cellos and double basses as in previous movements, but unlike the other movements, instruments such as the cymbal, triangle, and the trombone. What truly separates this final movement from the previous ones were its use of Ode to Joy by Friedrich Schiller, as well the voices of the chorus in the piece. The Harmony of this chorus was truly remarkable as their voices created an amazing sound while playing with the orchestra.
