"THIS IS NOT A DRILL! EVERYONE STAY OFF THE STREETS A-A-Aaaaand-"

The speakers went out. People ran in mamy directions screaming bloody murder.

"Stay near me Lay-" I smacked onto the destroyed tar road.

"Fritz!" She shrieked.

"Layla!" I got up quickly, my vision completely blurred. "Layla!" My arms outstretched, waving around looking for her.

A horrifying scream echoed.

"Layla!" I sped walked in the direction, my vision coming back quickly.

The sky has darkened, but the sun was visable, but not strong enough to give off heat here.

A man cornered Layla, she held a lead pipe, ready to swing at him. Gaining my senses back, the yelling, screaming, and crying took over my ears.

She ran over to me, and handed me the pipe. "We're getting out of here through the subway tunnels," I grabbed her hand and began to sprint. Holding onto her for dear life.

BERP BEEP- "STAY OFF THE STREETS! AND GET SHELTER! SEVEN MINUTES TILL-TILL- TiLl-"

"Damnit! Come on Layla!" I pulled her closer to me. She whimpered a little, but picked up her pace.

The stairs to subway is in view. My legs moved even faster. Everything was a blur.

We made it to the stairs, but my pocket felt empty.

"Layla, start going down, if I'm not back find a trustworthy group and stick with them," I told her before running back into the same direction. Damnit, should watched her go down.

Looking on the road for something shiny. And it caught my attention. Running to it, skidding to the ground, I picked it up and began to run back.

A hideous man stopped me, he held a woman by her kneck, and a piece of glass in the other.

"Boy!- help ME!" She cried, her scrawny arm reached for me, her hand was gone.

"Better run boy," the man growled at me.
