As human beings, it is in our nature to desire to be viewed as beautiful. Merriam Webster defines beauty as the quality of being physically attractive or the qualities in a person or a thing that gives pleasure to the senses and the mind (Merriam Webster). But who are we to say who is beautiful and who is not beautiful? The definition of beauty in America can vary greatly from the definition of beauty in foreign countries, but most countries share a few common ideas regarding what true beauty really is. Fashion model Helena Christensen summarizes this concept by simply stating, “The more people explore the world, the more they realize in every country there’s a different aesthetic.
