The S.W.O.T. analysis for Beats headphones is as follows. The strengths of Beats headphones are that they are and well-known name brand, are of good quality, have multiple options of products, multiple options of colors, celebrity endorsements, and there was already an existing distributions and sales network for them. All of those helped Beats become a competitor in the market of headphones. The weaknesses of Beats are that it’s price per unit is high, there are other headphones out there that have noise-cancellation, Beats is new to the market, and they have to sell each headphone at a higher price. Some of the strengths that helped Beast because as big as they are as fast as they did also hurt them. With the celebrity endorsements forcing them to raise the price to pay for it. Recently more musicians have come out with their own headphone line. The two most recent are rappers 50 Cent and Ludacris. You also have the old competitors as well, such as Sony and Bose. Many of these companies are trying to break into the market where as some are already established. Bose and Sony, as stated before, have noise cancelling headphones in the market at a better quality and a lower price. However, they don’t do as much marketing for these product because they’re not their main focus. The other newly created lines of headphones will have problems getting into the market because there are already so many players in the market. Also there are smaller shares of the market to get and fewer people to get loyal to the brand. If Beats can keep up the marketing plan it has and finds some way to lower the price of their headphones there will be no way that they cannot take over the market and keep a majority of the market
