Abstract: For the bearing ring is easy to appear fatigue failure, the heating turning method is proposed for outer circle of the bearing to achieve better surface quality to improve the service life of the bearing ring. In this paper after the inner circles of the bearing rings are pre-heated at the condition of 20℃,100℃,160℃and 240℃ respectively, and maintained the corresponding temperature, then the outer circles of the bearing

Fatigue and spalling are common failure modes in the process of using rolling bearing, they mainly appear on surface of the raceway and rolling body[1]. The micro level defects in bear 's surface will affect the performance of the whole system, which requires the surface quality of the parts to be greatly improved after mechanical processing[1]. The surface quality of bearing ring has great influence on the normal operation under complicated working conditions. Roughness, hardness and residual stress will affect the normal service life and durability of the bearing …show more content…
Liu X. simulated conductive heating cutting process [15], Xu Lanying et al. discussed the conductive heating method applied to small hole drilling[16-18], Heating cutting is a green cutting technology. Material is being heated to appear softening phenomenon, so the material hardness decreases or material yield strength decreases, then its flow stress decreases, which reduces the shear resistance of the material, thereby the cutting process will become smooth, it can obtain the perfect surface roughness which is equivalent to the grinding, and no hardening or softening phenomenon has occurred on the machined surface. In this paper, the pre heating cutting method is used for precision turning bearing
