Muhammad Hussain Azad writes about the title “Rowshani” of Bayazid Ansari that: A clever and artful man (Bayazid) dressed himself in the dress of “Piri” (Spiritual guidance) and named himself as “Rowshani”. 18
Syed Bahadar Shah Zafar in his book “Sheikh Rahamkar Kaka Sahib” explains the word “Mian” as: “In my opinion, the word, “Mian” for the noble people in Pashtoons has been in use since the time of Bayazid Ansari. The disciples and followers of Bayazid called Bayazid “Mian Rowshan”. 19

His great opponent Akhond Darwaiza says about this name: “My teacher, Haji Mulla Zangi held discussions with Bayazid so many times and had defeated him, but Bayazid could not face my teacher in the last expected meeting for discussion, and hence he gave Bayazid the name of Pir Tareek (darkened spiritual guide). 21
Muhammad Midrar Ullah Midrar says about the title, Pir Tareek” of Bayazid: “In the mentioned revelations of Bayazid , Bayazid not only did give the divine law (Shariat) the name “dark night”, but also gave a threat of punishment of God to those, who followed the “Shariat” (the divine law of Islam). In the reaction of Bayazid’s belief, the true learned men in common and Syed Ali Tarmizi (Pir Baba) and his spiritual successor Akhond Darwaiza specially gave Bayazid the title of “Pir Tareek” (darkened guide), because he was spreading the darkness of his false ideas among the Pashtoons. 22
