It was the clear victory that convinced the French to side with the Americans forever changing history and the course of the war. This battle had many impacts on the American people and gave General George Washington the belief that they could win their independence with the help of European allies. The Americans winning in the battle was a signal to the Europeans that the colonists of Patriots were capable of defeating the British on their own. More than any other duel, the Battle of Saratoga would prove the outcome of the rest of the war.
All in all, the Battle of Saratoga was a great turning point of the war and had a great impact towards the future
