This contributes to my negative thought because I am an individual who thinks that if I am not able to achieve something perfectly well then I’ll have trouble achieving it. For example, since I had trouble understanding the concept of Barnhart, I believe that I won’t be able to understand it at all. Being that I am learning new techniques each week, I feel that I won’t be able to achieve the past techniques. I feel that things are moving on quickly without fully understanding a certain subject well. My new positive thought of this situation is to take everything slow and ask questions if I need to. People don’t just learn new things right away it takes time and practice to achieve perfection. For my second negative thought, I believe “personalizing” contributed to not having enough time for other activities. This contributes to my negative thought because it is my fault that I don’t make time for other things.
