The Axolotl lives in high altitude freshwater lakes. They like to eat worms, insects, and Molluscs. They have feathery gills and flattened shaped heads. The Axolotl is endangered. Their skin in permeable. The axolotl live around 10-20 years long. There main predators are birds and fish. They lives mostly close to Mexico City in south Mexico. The axolotl is a carnivore. The axolotl can breath under water. The axolotl is very small, they are around 15-45 cm long.
