Totally the two-way merchandise trade was valued over 13 billion dollars during that period while 11 billion dollars were the imports from Germany. We can find that Germany relies on Australian market more comparatively. However Australia is also trying to enlarge the European market step by step by using the alliance with Germany. Germany offers Australian enterprises many business opportunities as a gateway into central and Eastern Europe.
