Atticus has rubbed off on his kids because the older they get the more they start to act like their father. Jem starts to act like a young adult and starts making better decisions in his life from watching Atticus. Atticus will help anyone, because he does not judge anyone. “I’d have made you go read to her anyway.” When Jem had to read to Mrs. Dubose, he did not like it, but in the end he learned he helped her out a lot. This showed Jem how thoughtful his father is.
