One goal that I had that I am just now seeing come to life is my goal to get back into being apart of the worship team at my church. When I first made this goal I loosely told people, and I never really had a lot of motivation to do it quickly. Since I didn't have a specific plan on how I was going to achieve this goal it took me over 3 months to get started and be able to be apart of the team. If i would have had more of a sence of urgency to achieve this goal it would have taken me less then a month.…

The SMART goal format will be used to establish these goals. SMART goals are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely (Lemine, 2014). Using this type of goal setting allows for refection and evaluation of the goal’s progress and what may need to be changed. I find it ironic, that I am writing about SMART goals and using them as I near the end of this educational journey.
