Difference between Astrology and Tarot Cards

Astrology and Tarot card reading are two different things yet they have so much in common. Astrology is based purely on the movement of heavenly bodies as seen from earth. On the other hand Tarot cards consists of a deck of 78 cards with images on it. A tarot card reader deduces the details from the selection of cards done by a person. Now let us take a walk down the lanes of history to see which out of the two has a prominent presence. Astrology has been there for a very long time. The first references date back to as old as 3rd Millennium BC. On the other hand for Tarot cards it cannot be said for certain. Astrology works on the principle of the position of the planets. Any person born at a given point of time and day will have his own personal natal chart. It contains the position of the planets and how they correlate to each other. Going through the chart one can likely envisage the personality of the person and hopefully their good and not so good times in the future. Astrology has a set of rules and the position of planets will have the same meaning for every astrologer. While the Tarot Cards can be interpreted in many ways and the interpretation may vary from reader to reader. It talks more about the person`s behavior and how likely it is going to affect the outcome of the situation they are currently in. Astrology predictions have a 50 - 50 chance of going either way. The predictions have a strong possibility of coming out to be true but you cannot deny that at times it may not go the way you think. In Tarot Cards you always have the possibility of getting the good, bad or the neutral card, but there is always a chance of an opposite interpretation. Astrology is more of time based system and has a possibility of scientific approach. On the other hand Tarot Cards are more of a creative system based on the interpretation of the pictures.
Over the years both Astrology and Tarot Card reading have coexisted even with their differences. Although both believe in fore-telling future in their own way, yet one believes in planets and zodiac signs and the other looks into the future through a set of pictures and their combination. One thing can be said that both the astrology and Tarot Cards give people across the globe hope and compassion. It may use different methods or have different set of rules to reach a deduction but eventually they share a list of fascinating
