Any Christian should be able to recognize the famous words, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” This was the beginning. It was the beginning of life, the universe. Creation is recounted in Genesis 1-2. There is so much meaning in these short two chapters it is astounding. Genesis 1-2 contains a liturgical meaning and a nuptial meaning. Christians know that Genesis says God created everything in just six days. Whether it is actually six days or a metaphorical six days is still debated, but for sake of simplicity the written six day format will be used. These six days are Genesis 1 plus the seventh day in Genesis 2 and these days show the Liturgical meaning, the meaning that relates to worship. The first three
