When it comes to assisted living industry Brookdale is all above, but they are from perfect. The organization has been involved in several cases. According to (Dolmanlaw.com, 2016) in 2013, Brookdale got sued because of a wrongful death plus elderly abuse when one of their resident was left unattended at facility in California while she was ill; staff member noticed an ulcer on the resident’s back but failed to notify a nurse or doctor to assist the resident in time.
