Assisted Living Mission Statement

The city council has concerns about the housing in the city for elderly citizens. The community is aging and the need of a new assisted living facility will to meet the demands within the community. Enlisting the use of planners will help in deciding how to best meet the community’s overall needs for assisted living as well as providing around the clock care for those citizens needing additional services. After analyzing the need for such services the plans, confirm the success of a new assisted living facility. The cost of the development is estimated at $4 million dollars that include purchasing the land, construction, and cost for financing the loans needed. The city plans to secure bonds to help with the cost of this new state …show more content…
The facility will help create new jobs and provide another option for assisted living in the city. Based on the information learned from reading Aging, Society, and The Life Course, one major player in the long-term sector is assisted living that creates a philosophy focusing on providing privacy, autonomy, and personal attention. The residents in the assisted living setting are growing older and facing more health challenges and incorporating a twenty-five beds nursing home section will function around the clock care. The official name of this new facility will be know as The Community Care Assisted Living and Nursing Home Facility. The mission statement is providing the state of the art assisted living and nursing facility designed to care for residents by implementing best practices to enhance the quality of life for the residents. The environment is comfortable, safe and clean. The staff is designed to provide residents with physical, social, spiritual and psychological while maintaining the dignity of those we serve. Based on the information learned from the reading in Module 2A, life events affects individuals differently. Living in a facility and having to transition to a new living environment may bring added stress. Stress research demonstrates that life events or transitions can impact health and well-being. The Community Care facility will provide resources to assist in changes with living arrangement, thus reducing any added stress to the residents. The facility will be designed to provide two different model plans. For couples, the design of a one level floor plan will bring an atmosphere of a friendly neighborhood. The second plan will be designed with spaces rooms for those single and wanting a different floor plan. Designing the facility with other options can provide an environment that one may prefer. A special section will be constructed for those requiring around the clock care and create an environment of privacy and ensure residents have plenty of space to create a homely atmosphere.
