The difference however is that Windows OS is capable of downloading programs from the internet as well as the store e.g Microsoft Office. To use applications on Linux, you must download the correct libraries and then extract the contents via the terminal e.g Firefox. The only apps that are available for Mac OS is either in the Apple Store or is preinstalled on the OS e.g Notes.
