Assignment 2 Vs. Label-2

I would choose the food associated with label 2 more often. This is because it contains 15% of calcium and label 1 contains 0%. This indicates that this food product is more beneficial for the individual since it provides an important mineral. This allows bone health to be maintained and could reduce the risk of complications in the future (Smolin et al., 2015). Also, looking at the sodium content, it is much lower compared to label 1. This could aid in reducing blood pressure with the help of calcium (Smolin et al., 2015). Although label 2 contains more fat compared to label 1, the other benefits compensate for that difference.
A health benefit that is associated with consuming a diet that meets the dietary requirement for calcium is that it regulates blood pressure. This could be done through the control of contractions in the blood vessel walls (Smolin et al., 2015). Another possibility is that substances are signaled to be secreted with the use of calcium (Smolin et al., 2015). The role that calcium has on blood pressure is still being studied, but through the DASH trail it showed that it lowers blood pressure compared to a diet low in calcium (Smolin et al., 2015). Another health benefit is that it is involved in the growth and maintenance

Although figure 1 contains more calcium, figure 2 provides additional vitamins and minerals. One of the vitamins present is vitamin D3 and that is converted to calcitriol in the liver and kidneys (Meletis, 2015). This aids in calcium function and bone metabolism (Meletis, 2015). One of the minerals present is copper and that aids in improving bone health and blood lipids (Smolin et al., 2015). Another mineral that it contains is zinc which provides stabilization of cell membranes (Smolin et al., 2015). Therefore, I believe figure 2 is more beneficial because of the extra vitamins and minerals within each capsule to enhance the function of

Almost all calcium is stored in bones and teeth, where it supports their structure and hardness (6). The body also needs calcium for muscles to move and for nerves to carry messages between the brain and every body part (6). In addition, calcium is used to help blood vessels move blood throughout the body and to help release hormones and enzymes that affect almost every function in the human body (6). Milk, yogurt, and cheese are the main food sources of calcium for the majority of people in the United States (6). To start, calcium is perhaps the most commonly linked component to higher bone density, and with just cause. Calcium is a versatile and important element. Connie Weaver, a member of the Institute of Medicine, explains, "Calcium is very critical for every body function-without it, your muscles won't contract and your nerves won't send messages. You either provide calcium through your diet or your body will strip it from your bone tissue. If your body robs the bones, they will weaken and break" ("Calcium Moves Front and Center").…

Mrs. Coty’s idea of giving the students a chance to share their notes, thoughts, and methods regarding their homework was incredible. It allowed for students to see what was expected of them. Many students skipped the section where they were asked to round and very few drew a picture as they were directed to. By displaying the work of those who did what was asked of them and getting the class to discuss why this was helpful to them allowed for those who did well to feel proud of their accomplishments and those who didn’t to see what they could improve upon for the future. If a student wasn’t very strong on the math and didn’t really understand what they were doing as they did the homework, seeing the class discuss the problems and model the correct solutions as well as the steps to obtain those solutions would strengthen their understanding.…

Requiring health warning labels on cigarette packaging by tobacco companies is common knowledge. However, to create healthier futures and protect the public, in 2009; Congress passed and signed into law (H.R.1256) the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act (Tobacco Control Act), President Obama passed a law that mandated more rules on tobacco products (Tobacco Product Labeling and Advertising Warnings, 2009). on June 22, 2009.
