The second ranking tool used to analyze Gantz et al., 2015 article is the USPSTF, Grade B- recommended for service. In assessing the study, it was determined that “the levels of bullying other nurses were low or moderate and level of prevention was weak or moderate. The result of this study suggest that the higher the level of bullying, the lower the level of prevention” (Gantz et al., 2015, p. 509). According to the USPSTFS the obtain benefit is of moderate certainty. The UPSTFS level of certainty for moderate suggests that the existing evidence is adequate to determine the effects of the preventive service on health outcomes. This can be applied to the study that bullying effects is detrimental and preventative measures are substantial. In …show more content…
The health-care organization has adopted evidence based practice and ranking tools to critique the effectiveness of care being provided. By evaluating the two ranking tools I was able to gain knowledge and understanding of process of research and the levels to choose which supports the evidence. The ONS and USPSTFS tools are used in daily practice to improve and support the evidence being used as foundation in health-care practice. The effectiveness of the tool is based on preventive measure in which experts gather evidence-based peer reviewed research and puts forth the development of clinical practice guidelines. The USPSTFS is useful for implementing standardized policies. USPSTFS was on track with the article because it clearly states the level. “The levels of bullying other nurses were low or moderate and level of prevention was weak or moderate” (Gantz et al., 2015, p. 509).
