After I had completed the financial budget, My Spending Choices came out to be: Social Security – Cut $0.672 T, Other Health Care – Cut $0.45 T, Overall Spending Level – No Change, Defense & Security – Cut $0.061 T, General Government – Cut $0.006 T, Investments – Cut $0.012 T, and Interest Adjustment – Spend $0.0184 T. Far as the Revenue Choice, it was: Other Revenue – Raise $0.047 T, Tax Expenditures – Cut $1.371 T, and Comprehensive Tax Reform – No change. I finished up with a $7.7415 Trillion Deficit. I actually went higher than what I started with. In my opinion, I believe that I didn't take into the consideration the pros and cons that would be the result of each item occurring. There were a lot of things that I've noticed after taking the game. I may have said that there should be a cut with social security and other health care, but there became an issue between that. I assumed if there was a cut for these two, how are people suppose to get certain benefits they need? Not everyone can pay out of pocket for some form of insurance if they are struggling financially. I decided to take the challenge a second time and ended up with: Social Security – Cut $0.907 T, Medicare – Cut $0.299 T, Overall Spending Levels – Cut $0.929 T, Defense & Security – Cut $0.041 T, General Government – Cut $0.083 T, Investments – Spend $0.054 T, and Interest Adjustment – Cut $0.6228 T. For the Revenue Choices, Other Revenue was raised by $0.469 T, Tax Expenditures – Raise $0.278 T, and Comprehensive Tax Reform – Raise $1.2 T. I see that there was a huge difference between completing the challenge the first and second time. This time, I finished with a $2.8252 Trillion Deficit. I managed to decrease the amount of the goal, which is a good thing cause spending that much really wouldn't create much devastation to the
