Mainly because some people who get welfare often take advantage of the system and taking away from the people who actually need government assistance. The book says that some people feel that it is simply unfair and unjust that some Americans struggle to make their rent each month while others live in luxury. Which I disagree with because everyone have opportunities to strive for better. In my opinion people who struggle with their money somewhere down the line it is possible that their money spending were focused more on wants rather than their needs. For example, my mom been a single parent her whole life raising two kids who are both attending a four-year college right now. My mom now works for a government agency, which she obtained because of her involvement in the military.
