Throughout the environment there are multiple resources and benefits of plant products. The use of plants has been around for thousands of years. Herbs and spices have been played a key role in the lives of humans. Although individuals are very familiar with the use of herbs and spices, specifically for cooking purposes, they also have a widespread use in the world of herbal medicine or cosmetics. People have suffered from numerous diseases and illnesses since the beginning of time. During the Middle Ages and early modern period, the doctrine of signatures was a very important element of medicine. Aromatherapy is used in various aspect, such as spas, medical practices, hospitals, households, etc. Overall, it allows people to relieve their pain, enhance emotions and allow for relaxation. Studies have been done on pregnant women and how essential oils have made them feel less anxious or afraid. They also had a better sense of well-being. Many of the others that pregnant women have been exposed to include rose and lavender. "Massage therapy with essential oils may benefit people with depression.
