This is in contrast to individuals who have never served in the armed services which portrayed less healthy lifestyles. In addition for people that have lived to at least eight five years old the health pattern has completely been altered for military veterans who have attained this age because they were less healthy in comparison to individuals who have never served in the armed forces. Military veterans tended to be healthier as young adults in contrast to non military individuals who are dealing with various medical concerns. Furthermore one correlation between these obvious differences in their state of health is that military veterans were expected once they were enlisted in the armed forces to remain in proficient shape and they were constantly given a wide array of health examinations during their tour of duty. Henceforth non veteran Americans were never bombarded with similar demands to frequently maintain a healthy body weight that was expected in various job occupations. The enlisted soldiers and their personal sacrifices have left an honorable standard for future generations of Americans to emulate whether they are employed at a regular full or part-time job, voluntarily listed in the armed forces, rearing a family of their own or have recently retired from their place of employment. The personal actions of one individual can ultimately dictate the mental wellbeing of numerous people. The overall effects of being directly involved with a war as mentioned in the professional article are very detrimental and can affect the armed service veterans physically, spiritual, psychologically, emotionally and financially through out the duration of the life course.“The analysis includes several control and mediator variables that are related to later-life health.
