Aristotle's definition of a tragic hero is: “a person of high status that has personal flaws which negatively impacts their future”. The Greek tragedy “Antigone” written by Sophocles has one character that is a perfect example of this definition; Creon, the new king of Thebes, a city that is in a vulnerable time of danger, war, and death. In basic terms, he rescues the city and the citizens support him as a savior. He has made a strict new law with a very harsh punishment.
