I believe in order to live in a peaceful society and in a peaceful world, gun control is necessary. Without the control of guns lives will be taken away daily for no reason at all, violence is never the answer. I think there should always be limits and restrictions to certain issues and gun control is definitely one of those issues that should have restrictions. An FBI analysis of crime data calculated that between 1977 and 1992 1,570 murders, 4,177 rapes, 60,000 aggravated assaults, and 12,000 robberies could have been deterred if we had restrictions on firearms in the United States (“ProCon,” 2016). There are many reasons why guns should be enforced. One reason that I strongly stand by when it comes to gun control is the fact that a mentally unstable person could get a hold of a gun without any prior background check and could do some serious damage to society and themselves.
