There are teens at the age of eighteen who have their license and can drive their friends around but lack experience. If kids are driving by themselves for an extra year, then they will be more responsible at the age of eighteen when they drive with others. With this inexperience, they have a crash rate higher than any other age group. If teens start earlier and drive more before they are free to drive their friends' places teens should lower the number of accidents they have on the road a substantial amount. Teens should be able to drive at a younger age because it can help them be more responsible.…
Can you imagine being seventeen and you can not go to a friends house ,because you can not drive and you have to wait for your mother or father to drive you? Well that could be reality ,many states have increased the minimum driving age. Our state is now considering raising it as well I think it should not be raised because driving is important from your teenage years on ,and it is our right to be able to learn and to drive at sixteen. To begin, you can learn alot from driving at sixteen.…
Do you remember how excited you were to finally get your license when you were sixteen? Or do you remember how excited you were going to be once you reached sixteen so imagine if they were to raise the driving age to eighteen. The driving age should not be raised. It should not be raised because sixteen is a good age to start driving. You're old enough to have an job at this age so you should be able to have a license to make sure you can be self reliant getting to work or anywhere else without relying on someone like parents or any other family members.…
According to name of source more than 8,000 people are killed or involved in serious accidents by 15-20 year old’s on the road. This shows that 15-20-year old’s cause more accidents than more experienced mid aged drivers. If driving ages were raised there would be less teen drivers…
Why the driving age should not be raised Driving is a big art of maturing and growing as an individual. State governments are pushing for the driving age to be raised to eighteen, but there is no reason for this. Sixteen year olds are naturally capable to drive with their senses being heightened as they are younger. Generally, sixteen year olds are unfairly judged as irresponsible and not attentive enough to drive.…
Also, the number of teens killed will only grow. According to the article, “Alexander Sostarecz: Raise driving age to 18 when teens are more responsible” says, if the driving age was raised to 18, roads would be safer and teenage death rates from car accidents would be lower. This means that raising the age would make the roads safer. The amount of car accidents would be lower because the age was raised.…

Sounds awesome, right? Many people argue that the driving age is too young so they think that it should be changed. Do you think it should or should not be changed? This might be a hard question but, here is my opinion about the driving age. Should the minimum driving age be changed, well I think that the minimum driving age should stay the same age.…

I didn’t agree with what they said about rising the age up to 18 to driving . I think that people 16 and up should be able to drive. The solution to stop teenage driving from having accident is stop texting and driving and that also goes the adult’s to. Not all kids will get into accident so I think bringing the age up is a bad ideal. Sixteen is the perfect age to start driving.…
Should the minimum driving age be raised? Many 14 year olds today are not the same as 14 year olds were years ago. Some years ago children usually got home from school, rode their bikes, ate dinner with their families, and went to bed as the sun went down. Nowadays, young teenagers are much more likely to come home from school to an empty house, eat dinner on their own, and be involved in illegal activities.…
For example, a teenager 's brain is not as developed as an adults brain. Also, 16-year olds tend to have other teen agers in the vehicle with them, which can be a very dangerous and deadly situation. Even though some people may believe the driving age shouldn’t be raised, they may not know all of the risks there is to having a 16-year old have a license. The minimum driving age in Washington state should be raised to 17.…
Teenagers are not mature enough and this is the first reason why driving age should be raised. Teenagers wait for a long time to drive and when they finally be 18 and can drive they do crazy things like driving very fast which is unsafe thing for them and for other drivers on the road. Letting the teenagers drive in early age would increase the number of car accidents. As it is mentioned 5000 teenagers dies every year from car accidents. Teenagers are not matured enough to…
If one law in the United States was slightly altered, it could save thousands of lives every year. (“Tips and Statistics”) If the United States were to raise the legal driving age to 19 it would decrease accidents caused from lack of experience and fatalities from distracted driving.…
