Equality in the Declaration had an effect on the entire world. Many families from war-torn countries are able to lead normal lives in America because of equality. Diana Pham, an immigrant mother from Vietnam, proudly says, “Our two daughters are just finishing their university education at Stanford and Michigan which would never have been possible without this country’s belief in equality.” (Doc A) Because of the equal opportunity given to everybody in America, everyone can succeed if they work hard enough, even if you come from a very poor country. According to Document A, every man and women in America has equal rights. Equality impacts every person living on American soil. It doesn’t matter if you are a man, women, immigrant, or native, you are treated equally. Back before this was passed, only white male property owners were treated fairly across the world. After America began to think like this, many other countries followed suit including England, France, Spain, and many other countries. Not only did equality have an impact on America, but it left its mark on the world. Clearly, equality is by far the most important ideal of the Declaration of Independence.
